JOY Health Care Services has Certified Home Health Aides on staff ready to perform hands-on care to help you meet your health needs. Our CHHAs are skilled and experienced in providing services that will help you strive in the comfort of your homes. They are also up-to-date with all the courses and learning on disease-specific topics.
These people have been hired directly and have undergone a series of background checks and interview processes to determine their capabilities. They are also bonded, licensed, and insured so you can guarantee your safety.
They work under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse or a physician to provide these services:
- Assist with bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Check the patient’s temperature, pulse, and respiration as directed by the nurse
- Reinforce simple dressings
- Assist and remind the patient to take oral medications, ordinarily self-administered, as ordered by the physician and as directed by the nurse
- Assist with the home exercise program developed by the nurse or therapist
- Take the patient on outside walks when indicated by the nurse (weather and health permitting)
- Report physical/emotional changes to nurse
- Shop and prepare meals for the patient
- Perform household duties according to the patient’s plan of care
- Do the patient’s laundry
- Maintain safety and communicate issues
